Ilir Kadia is a journalist in Albania. He has been working for the BBC World Service since 1993.〔(BBCAlbanian.com ), www.bbc.co.uk, undated (accessed 22 January 2007)〕 His book ''Wet Hair'' (''Floke te Lagur''), a collection of short stories, came as a surprise to the Albanian public in 2004. The book was highly praised by the literary world as well as the public; Balla says the stories "have by now become part of the reader's patrimony." Since then Ilir Kadia has published two other books entlitled "Kontrate per Kadaver" and "Nata e pare e tradhetiese".
